It is very important for the bio diversity of the Cowfield that it is cut and the''hay'' removed on an annual basis. This process, over time, reduces the fertility of the soil and encourages a greater range of species of flowers and grasses to flourish.
The cut is currently taking place (during the evening Friday 12th July 2019) and will be completed over the weekend. Please take extra care if you see the tractor or other vehicles on the field and keep your dogs on the lead.
